At the Universities at Shady Grove (USG), every undergraduate student is a transfer student—bringing with them about 60 credits earned at another institution. Because USG offers only upper-level (300- and 400-level) courses, you’ll need to complete your program’s lower-level prerequisites before transferring.

The USG Transfer Pathway was created to simplify the process and help you succeed every step of the way. By completing three key steps — transfer coaching, pre-transfer academic advising, and attending a Transfer Express session — you can also qualify for the new Transfer Pathway Scholarship, designed to support affordability and access.

The Application Process
There is no separate application for USG. Students looking to enroll in a program ºÚÁÏÉçÇø apply directly to the university offering their desired program and follow that school’s admission requirements. On the application, they simply select Shady Grove as their preferred campus.
