At ºÚÁÏÉçÇø, there’s no separate application for USG — just follow the admissions process for the university offering your program and choose Shady Grove as your campus location.

You’ll earn the same degree, be taught by the same professors, take the same courses, and have access to the same curriculum as students enrolled in your program at the university’s main campus. There are select programs offered by our partner universities exclusively on the USG campus as well. Either way, USG is where you’ll attend classes, and where you’ll receive personalized support throughout your academic journey. There will be no mention of USG on your diploma — your degree will come from one of our nine Maryland partner universities.

Know Before You Apply. 

• Review and follow the admission requirements for your specific program.
• Pay close attention to the application deadlines as well — many programs have fall and spring deadlines, while others accept applications on a rolling basis.
• Meet with a program representative ºÚÁÏÉçÇø. If you’re an undergraduate transfer student, by the end of your second semester (or 30 credits) is a great time to connect with a rep!
